The idea to reduce the speed limit to 30 kph on our residential streets is not new or unique, it’s a movement that’s underway in communities all around the world.  In fact, the idea is built in to some of the draft planning documents being discussed in both Canmore and Banff too.

I spoke with Mandy Johnson from the Community Cruisers about why they’re supporting these initiatives through their “Love 30” campaign and the response to some common concerns raised when this subject comes up.
