Canmore local Melissa Verrier Daunais is halfway around the world, bringing positive change and useful skills to the lives of refugees in Amman, Jordan through her work with Oxfam.

I spoke with Melissa about their new project called the C-Hub, allowing participants between the ages of 18 and 30 to learn various manual and entrepreneurial skills to help them earn a living in a country with high rates of poverty and unemployment.

Melissa is doing this work through Oxfam Quebec, who are currently sending technical advisers all over the world to work in various fields.  Find out more here.
