Does Canmore Need a Scramble Crosswalk?

Right on Main street in Canmore at 6th ave, pedestrians pile up on the corners, and driving through that intersection can be nerve-racking; you know, at any moment a pedestrian could bolt from the crowd of people and start to J-walk.

I think a scramble crosswalk, might stop some of the pedestrian traffic congestion and the j-walking. But I think we only need it on the weekends.
