Canmore Candidates Forum on the Environment

Election forum season begins in earnest Wednesday, September 27th with residents of Canmore and Banff each having opportunities to hear from the candidates running for mayor and council.

I spoke with Gareth Thomson who will be moderating the Canmore Candidates Forum on the Environment tomorrow at the Seniors Centre between 7 and 9 PM.  He shared some highlights from the list of 19 prepared questions and said the audience will get the chance to ask their own queries from the floor.

The Banff Seniors Society is also organizing a forum Wednesday night from 6 – 8 PM at 101 Bear Street.  I’ve been told it will be like a ‘speed dating’ format where people will get an opportunity for some fast face time to get to know a bit more about who’s running and what’s important to them.
