Although the Bow Valley isn’t in the ‘path of totality’ we should still see a pretty cool solar eclipse on Monday with 77% coverage expected for our area.  The eclipse will begin at 10:18 AM, peak at 11:31 AM, and conclude at 12:48 PM.

Tanya and I share details about a couple of the eclipse viewing parties taking place locally at the Delta Lodge in Kananaskis and Sunshine Village.

Don’t have your own eclipse viewing sunglasses?  Making your own pinhole camera is easy and a safe way to watch Monday’s event.  There are a lot of YouTube videos available explaining how to do it, like this one:
