Canmore International Improv Festival

Mountain FM is a proud sponsor of the Canmore International Improv Festival, coming to artsPlace for the first time August 10th through 13th. It’s four full days of shows, workshops, and guaranteed laughs provided by some of the top improvisers in Alberta and from around the world!

Ali Froggatt is the main organizer of this new festival.  She talks about her inspiration to put this event together and attracting talent to Canmore from as far away as Norway and Columbia.

I’m looking forward to not only taking in some of the shows and workshops through the weekend but also testing my improv mettle in the Maestro to open the festival on Thursday, August 10th.  Our local improv troupe Mountain Improv Alliance will also be putting a team forward for the Theatresports event on Saturday, August 12th.
