Witness Celtic culture at its best at the Canmore Highland Games, August 31st to September 1st!

Join us for a full slate of events comprising the Highland Games. Enjoy the pancake breakfast, highland dance competition, piping and drumming competitions, drum majors contest, heavy sports, tug of war, sheepdogs, Celtic Market, Clan Village, British Car & Motorcycle Show, Scotch tasting, traditional food and beverages, food trucks, Beer Garden & Patio (all day in the heated festival tent), massed bands and more.

Taste of the Highlands

Sat, August 31: 5 pm to 9 pm

Enjoy an evening of wines and whiskeys, meads and ale with local and international beverages and brews from some of the world’s most celebrated producers. The Celtic lounge atmosphere features experts available to share their knowledge as you sip your way from booth to booth. Appetizers served up by some of Canmore’s finest restaurants.

No dogs due to Town of Canmore bylaw

Sun, September 1: 8 am to 6 pm

Heavy Sports (women and novices), and Highland Dances (special dances & choreography) will take place. Also added is a Drum Major Clinic in the morning, and Sandy’s Bar will be open 10 am – 5 pm, by the Sports Area.

The Canmore Ceilidh

Sun, September 1: 6 pm to 11 pm

A full night of Celtic culture – music, dance and song

This event is a separate ticketed event prior to the Highland Games.
