Traffic Light Efficiency

Has this happened to you: Light turns green, a few seconds later the car at the front of the line starts to accelerate, then you miss the light because of the reaction time of the first driver.

That happens to me, probably twice a week, and that’s why I think we need a second Amber light the comes on before the light turns green, thus making the intersection more efficient.
