ROB MURRAY: I’m speaking with Aaron Lavigueur from local band All The Time Everywhere. Tell us a little bit about your group?

AARON LAVIGUEUR:  I grew up around Napanee, Ontario. All The Time Everywhere has been a project for three years but when I moved out here we got together and started jamming. We were working towards touring the summer but obviously that got canceled.

RM:  What brought you out to Banff?

AL: I just needed a change, a breath of fresh air. I got my carpentry ticket and I asked my buddy, Chris, what it was like out here and he said get out here right away, so I booked a ticket.

RM: How would you describe your music and what influences you?

AL: I’m kind of influenced by everything. It’s interesting to me, different genres of music, and how they put their music together. I like to hear their transitions and how they form their moods and things like that because it’s important to me to know how to do that very effectively if I’m going to have any type of longevity writing.

RM: I really like your stuff, by the way. It sounds like you’re a really high energy group that would be great to see live, yet COVID has made that a bit of a challenge. Has it been tough to be a band right now? Do you just want to get your new stuff out there and share it with an audience?

AL: At first it was kind of discouraging, but as it turns out I kind of like this because there’s no pressure for us to be on tour. It’s nice to be able to hang out with the guys in the jam space and write new music, or whatever. If we don’t feel like it, we can just hang out. All this time has just made us a better band as far as getting our live show together. I think this is the best live show I’ve ever had in a band as far as spectacle and the in between songs, how it flows and all that stuff. It’s given us a lot of time to do it properly, which I like. I just try to turn things into a positive spin.

RM: It’s given you time to make a music video as well. You have a new song Partition (Party’s Over) and a music video for it that was filmed locally.

AL: Yeah, we did it with Bryan White. Great guy. Awesome time. We filmed it in our jam space and we filmed it up on top of Sulphur Mountain.

RM: What can you tell us about the song?

AL: It’s only a matter of time before people are just not going to take it anymore. I just see this divide and conquer thing out there and it really bothers me. You know, Liberal, Conservative, Republican, Democrat, everyone just takes a side and then argues. At the end of the day, everybody wants the same thing. They just want to walk out their door and feel good about the world. I feel like everyone on either side fighting all the time is preventing that. As far as I’m concerned, it needs to stop. That’s what the song’s about.

RM: What does the future hold for All The Time Everywhere?

AL: We’ve released two singles off the new album. The album’s coming out shortly.

RM: What are the platforms for people to follow along?

AL: Facebook, Instagram, and our website.

Since this interview was recorded, All The Time Everywhere have announced their new EP “The Long Con” will drop on November 16th. They’ve also released a third single and are holding a contest to come up with a name for it.
