This year Mountain FM, along with every Rogers radio station across the country, was fortunate enough to be able to grant a $1000 Ted Rogers Scholarship Fund grant to a student in their respective communities. We’re thrilled to announce recent BCHS grad Scott Chisholm the the lucky recipient here!

Scott was nominated by his mom Linda who wrote:

Scott is Co-Class President at BCHS, organizing fundraising events for graduation. He served on the High School Alignment Committee to help align BCHS with CCHS. Scott was chosen for the leadership role of captain on the BCHS volleyball, basketball and rugby teams. Playing competitive hockey in Canmore for years helped him recruit Canmore students to participate on the BCHS rugby team, leading to the Provincial Championship win! He was the youth representative on the Commonwealth Walkway Committee, with the Banff Community Foundation for a year. Scott maintains great grades and has been an honour roll student every year.

I spoke with Scott about his busy extra-curricular life, this year’s big rugby win, and why rugby will continue to be a big part of his life at the University of Victoria in the fall.

Congratulations Scott and best of luck at university!
