The Rockywood Reels film series returns to the Whyte Museum this Thursday night with a screening of Death Hunt. Released in 1981, this movie starred Charles Bronson and Lee Marvin and was filmed in the Canmore and Spray Lakes areas.

Brian Patton will be introducing the film and told me this movie marked the beginning of Hollywood’s interest in the Canmore area as a filming location. It was also the first movie to make extensive use of Canmore locals as extras and participants and he hopes many of them will come out Thursday to share their stories.

Death Hunt will be screened Thursday, May 24th at 7 pm.  Tickets are $5, or free for Whyte Museum members.
