Canmore local Jeremy Deeves recently received a devastating health diagnosis – colon cancer.  The aggressive surgery and chemo he needs means he’ll be unable to work and support his wife Jilysa and young twin daughters while he recovers.

Fortunately, something Jeremy Deeves also has is a lot of friends.  One of them has set up a gofundme page which has already received of $14,000 in donations as of this writing.  Some of his Canmore crew have also organized a Do It For Deeves fundraiser at the Canmore Rec Centre on November 25th.

Organizer Matt Tottle was emotional speaking with me about Jeremy and says the event has already attracted some big interest from silent auction donors.

Do It For Deeves runs Saturday, November 25th from 5 – 11 PM upstairs at the Canmore Rec Centre.  Tickets are $20 at the door.  If you’re interested in volunteering or donating to the silent get in touch with the organizers through the Facebook event page.
