Canmore Eagles Forward #12 Colton Young is Mountain FM’s Player of the Month for October.

This month’s pick was a toss-up between Colton and his brother Alex Young who has also been turning heads in the league this year.  We gave the edge to Colton for his outstanding back-to-back hat tricks in home wins against the Calgary Mustangs and Calgary Canucks on October 6th and 7th.  Colton had 12 points (6G, 6A) in 9 games this month.

One thing Colton Young has been lauded for this season is his incredible speed, which is something he told me he’s been spending a lot of time working on.  We also spoke about playing with his brother and what the team’s been doing to prepare for their three day, three game northern road trip grind this weekend.
