With the municipal election coming up October 16th Tanya and I have invited all candidates for mayor and council in Canmore and Banff to join us for in-studio conversations. You’ll hear them on my morning show throughout the campaign and if you miss any they’ll be posted right here on my blog.

It’s always cool to hear feedback that we’re making a positive difference in our community – Doug Macnamara told us it was one of our Mountain Insider segments about serving the community on council that cemented his decision to put his name forward in Banff. He wants to apply his experience as a business leader to municipal politics and shared some interesting ideas around budgeting, funding municipal projects, and paid parking that wouldn’t involve local residents reaching into their wallets.
