Wildlife Ambassador Program

It’s a busy summer for bears in the Bow Valley and a lot of people are looking for ways to make a positive contribution to educating people about area closures and living alongside wildlife.
Nick de Ruyter from Bow Valley WildSmart says they’ve been running a program with Alberta Parks for about a decade dedicated to doing that very thing! He talks about the award-winning Wildlife Ambassadors who are busy spreading positive messages this summer.

Audio PlayerThe Wildlife Ambassador program looks for volunteers every year. Being an Ambassador requires three days of training so they won’t be adding to their 20 strong team this summer but send them a message and they’ll get in touch with you when they do their winter intake.
