Quarry Bike Trail

On today’s Mountain Insider Tanya and I tried to separate some of the fact and fiction around the bike trail being planned for the Quarry Lake area, saying the facts simply don’t support the contention that the Town is planning to build a skills park in a wildlife corridor. Tanya also thinks there’s a great way to measure the effect of the actual intention of this project which is supposed to be a benefit to both people and wildlife.

Some people have been wondering about the public engagement process behind this project.  We also discussed how this plan was approved and why an annual initiative in Banff might be a good idea for Canmore to adopt to keep people in the know about projects like this.
