The Three Sisters Resort Centre is the next major development in the works for Canmore. Always part of the overall plan for Three Sisters since the original decisions in the 90s, the Resort Centre will be a residential and commercial development with up to 3000 proposed new units. With the developer abandoning plans to complete the Three Sisters Golf Course they’re now hoping to use that area for the resort core. This requires a number of changes to the Area Structure Plan (ASP) and those proposed ASP amendments are now available online.  Expect this to be on Canmore council’s agenda in the next month or so.

Tanya and I gave a brief overview of this topic on the show this morning.

Quantum Place has been working to keep the community involved in this process, examples of which can be seen in the above videos. Jessica Karpat, Dr. Kyle Knoph, and Chris Ollenberger will be joining me on the show next week for a series of interviews about the overall project, wildlife mitigations, and undermining, all of which will also be posted on my blog.
