Banff's Juan Riedinger stars in 'Drawing Home'

Drawing Home is a new movie based on the love story of Banff legends Peter and Catharine Whyte. Watch the trailer here. It’s making its World Premiere Wednesday at the Lux Cinema as part of the Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival.

The role of Peter Whyte is played by an actual Banff local – Juan Riedinger! How cool is that?

Juan’s been making quite the name for himself recently with big roles in the Netflix series Narcos and CBC show The Romeo Section. I spoke with him about the chance to share a made-in-Banff love story with the rest of the world.

Drawing Home makes its World Premiere at the Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival Wednesday night.  Two screenings at the Lux Cinema at 7 PM and 9:30 PM; after the first screening there will be a Q&A session with leads Juan Riedinger and Julie Lynn Mortensen along with a couple of the film’s producers.  Tickets available here.
