This Set of Lights Confuses Drivers

Probably once a week, on 17th Street & Bow Valley Trail,  I’ll see a vehicle at this set of lights, in the left turning lane, who don’t go when the light is green. I have missed my chance to turn on a few occasions because someone is waiting for the flashing green turn signal. But at this intersection that doesn’t come.

I have to admit, the first time I turned left at that intersection, I hesitated to go. But that only happend the first time I was at those lights.

Traffic tends to back up there because of this. Then you add all the visitors we are expected to see next summer, with a train passing and all of a sudden, we have a big-city-traffic-jam.

Think we should change that light to a flashing green light turn light? Or add signage?
