Eagles Bandits

The Canmore Eagles hope to steal a couple of games from the Brooks Bandits on their turf as Games 1 and 2 of their best-of-seven playoff series gets underway this weekend.  It’ll be a tall order – the Bandits led the AJHL South Division at the end of the regular season thanks to solid goaltending and multiple lines of scorers.  Our regular season record against them was 1-5 and in six regular season games we scored a total of 12 goals to their 32 against us.

Eagles Head Coach/GM talks about why their team was so successful against the Drumheller Dragons in the first round, highlights goaltender Ryan Bontorin and forward Adam Tisdale as strong players, and talks about the keys to winning a series in which we’re definite underdogs.

We’ll be back on home ice for Games 3 and 4 this Monday and Tuesday night, 7 PM at the Canmore Rec Centre.  Go Eagles go!
