Bow Valley SPCA Cinderella Fund

The Bow Valley SPCA often finds themselves caring for animals with special needs. Sometimes they arrive at the Adoption Centre needing surgery like Samantha (pictured above) who lost her eye due to injury. Sometimes the animal requires continuous medical care for ailments like diabetes. The Cinderella Fund addresses all of the SPCA’s medical and training needs.

Kathy Fergusson and I spoke about why the SPCA has been drawing on this fund a fair bit recently.  We also discussed why this is both a sad and happy fund because while it’s awful to have a dog or a cat in these kinds of situations, the Bow Valley SPCA’s No Kill mandate means these animals get an opportunity to live and find a forever home instead of slated for euthanization.
