With 19 points in 12 games, four Eagles Star of the Game honours, and one AJHL Player of the Week award, #10 Matt Forchuk was the clear pick to be the Mountain FM Canmore Eagles Player of the Month.  He scored or assisted on half of all Eagles goals in the month of October!

Currently tied for 4th in the AJHL overall scoring race with 26 points on the season, Matt credits much of the recent success to the chemistry with linemates Lane Olson and Logan Ferguson who were paired up for the first time during the AJHL Showcase Weekend, but also says some good summer conditioning and the desire to have a good season has helped him get stronger and faster.
