Over the Rainbow is a locally produced film about Camp fYrefly, Canada’s only national leadership retreat for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans-identified, two-spirited, intersexed, queer, questioning, and allied youth. It’s being screened in the Bow Valley for the first time this Thursday at 6:30 PM at The Banff Centre’s Max Bell Auditorium.

I spoke with filmmaker Mikael from Msquared2 Productions along with Carmen who is featured in the movie and Paula from co-presenting partner organization YWCA Banff about the film and Thursday night’s event.

Free admission.  The event will also feature a performance by Morley drag queen Argintina Hailey and a post-film panel discussion on diversity in the Bow Valley.
