Kathy LeMay2

Author, speaker, and philanthropy advocate Kathy LeMay will be in the Banff July 7th – 9th to lead a series of workshops inspiring individuals and organizations to give what they can to causes they care about.

Kathy tells me that meaningful philanthropy is more relational than transnational and doesn’t necessarily involve opening up the chequebook.

Kathy LeMay’s visit was organized by Kathy Arney of KEA Canada and supported by the Banff Community Foundation, artsPlace, Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies, YWCA Banff, Bow Valley Regional Housing, Banff Mineral Springs Hospital. As part of LeMay’s visit, the next generation of community leaders will be invited by partner organizations to attend a July 9 workshop on inspiring positive social change through individual action. Participants in “How Do We Go from Wanting Change to Making a Difference?” will include young adult leaders, and those interested in cultivating the next generation of community builders. To sign up or nominate someone for this workshop, email Kathy Arney.
